About
Web & API Health Checker keeps an eye on the websites and REST API endpoints you care about. It sends a request to each target on a schedule you choose, decides whether the response is healthy, and sends you a notification the instant something breaks — and again when it recovers. Everything runs in the background on your device, and the app uses no sensitive permissions.
Features
- Register any target by name, URL, and HTTP method (GET, HEAD, or POST)
- Define what "healthy" means — an expected status-code range and an optional response-body substring
- Background periodic checks via WorkManager: every 15 or 30 minutes, 1, 2, 6, or 12 hours, or once a day
- Instant alerts when a target switches to an error state, plus optional recovery notifications — delivered on separate channels
- Per-target on/off, and a "Check now" button for an immediate one-time check
- Network constraints (any connection or Wi-Fi only) and a configurable response timeout (5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds)
- No sensitive permissions — your monitoring stays private to your device
