Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service establish the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Sia Makerlab (the "Company") and users regarding the use of the PDF Shelve app (the "App").

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "App" refers to the mobile application that provides PDF file viewing and management functionality. The App is read-only and does not provide PDF editing, text extraction, or annotation features.
• "User" refers to anyone who agrees to these Terms and uses the App.
• "Content" refers to all PDF files imported or managed by users within the App.
• "In-App Purchase" refers to paid purchases (ad removal) made through Google Play within the App.

Article 3 (Modification of Terms)

The Company may modify these Terms as necessary, with notice through app updates or the website. Users who disagree with changes may discontinue use and delete the App.

Article 4 (Service Content)

The App provides the following features:

• PDF file viewing with dual reading modes (continuous scroll and page swipe)
• Pinch zoom and double-tap zoom
• Night reading mode with brightness control
• Auto scroll with adjustable speed
• Page bookmarks
• Shelf-style library management with categories, search, and sorting
• PDF document information and sharing
• Fullscreen immersive mode and screen rotation lock
• Theme selection (system/light/dark) and language selection (Korean/English)

The App is provided "AS IS" without guarantees of fitness for particular purposes or error-free operation.

Article 5 (User Obligations)

Users must not engage in the following activities:

• Using the App for illegal purposes
• Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted PDF files
• Attempting reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembly of the App
• Unauthorized copying or misappropriation of the App's source code
• Infringing on the rights of others
• Circumventing ad display or in-app purchase mechanisms

Article 6 (Intellectual Property)

All intellectual property rights to the App belong to the Company. Rights to PDF files imported by users belong to the original copyright holders of those files. The user is solely responsible for ensuring they have the right to access and use any PDF files they import into the App.

Article 7 (In-App Purchases)

• The App offers a one-time in-app purchase for ad removal through Google Play
• Purchases are subject to Google Play's payment and refund policies
• Purchased items can be restored on the same Google account through Settings > "Restore purchase"
• The Company does not directly process any payment information

Article 8 (Advertising)

• Google AdMob advertisements (adaptive banner and app open ads) may appear in the App
• Ads can be permanently removed through in-app purchase
• The Company disclaims responsibility for the content of third-party advertisements and any transactions between advertisers and users

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

The App is provided "as is." The Company is not liable for:

• Loss of PDF files or other data from using the App
• Rendering errors or compatibility issues with specific PDF files
• PDF files that cannot be opened due to encryption, DRM, or corruption
• Service interruptions, errors, or device-specific issues
• Damages caused by third parties
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Article 10 (Compensation)

Damage compensation between the Company and users follows applicable law based on fault attribution.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Korea. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in the Company's location.
