1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Sia Makerlab ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the Quick Notes mobile application ("App" or "Service").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Quick Notes is a lightweight memo app for Android. All notes are stored locally on your device, and no account or internet connection is required to create or read notes.

The App provides the following features:

• Create, edit, archive, restore, and soft-delete (trash) text notes
• Color labels for categorization
• Checklist notes with checkable items
• Folders to organize notes; option to pin a folder to the launcher
• Full-text search across all notes
• Quick Access entry points — six system-wide ways to create or search notes from outside the App. Each entry is off by default and opt-in via Settings → Quick Access. The first-launch onboarding pager and replayable tutorial bottom sheets introduce each entry.
• Glance home-screen widget — a quick-access widget showing recent notes plus a "+ New note" entry button
• Settings for font size, theme, and sort order
• Optional in-app purchase to remove advertisements

The App is provided for Android devices only.

3. Eligibility and Use Requirements

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Account

The App does not require user registration or account creation. No personal account information is collected or stored by us.

5. License Grant and Restrictions

5.1 License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on a compatible device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

5.2 Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any portion thereof
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the App
• Use the App for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose
• Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App to third parties
• Use automated means to access or use the App without our express permission

6. Quick Access Entry Points

The App provides six optional, system-wide entry points that let you create or search notes from outside the App. The five OS-level entries (App Shortcuts, Quick Settings Tile, Share sheet, App Actions voice intent, Process Text) require no additional Android permissions beyond the App's existing permissions; they use standard system APIs. The sixth entry, Call Memo, is covered in Section 7 below.

By enabling any Quick Access entry you acknowledge and agree that:

• Every entry is off by default and must be turned on by you in Settings → Quick Access.
• Toggling an OS-level entry on or off uses Android's standard component-enabling APIs (PackageManager.setComponentEnabledSetting, ShortcutManagerCompat) to register or remove the entry; it does not transmit any data to us.
• Text received through the Share sheet, the App Actions voice intent, or the Text-selection "Process Text" menu is delivered to the App via standard Android intent extras and stored only in your local notes database.
• Incoming text via the Text-selection menu is capped at 10 MB to protect device memory; oversized input is truncated.
• The App Actions voice intent (actions.intent.CREATE_NOTE) is dispatched by Google Assistant; voice recognition and dictation are performed by Google Assistant, subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.
• You may disable any entry at any time from Settings → Quick Access, after which the corresponding OS-level component is disabled and no longer surfaced in the launcher, quick tile editor, share sheet, or system menu.

7. Call-Memo Feature

The call-memo feature is an optional add-on that displays a floating note composer over other apps while a phone call is in progress. By enabling the feature you acknowledge and agree that:

• The feature is off by default and must be enabled by you in Settings.
• The feature requires you to grant the following Android runtime permissions: read phone state, draw over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW), post notifications, and run a foreground service. On Android 14+ the foreground service is declared with type specialUse (subtype phone_call_memo via PROPERTY_SPECIAL_USE_FGS_SUBTYPE); on earlier versions the equivalent foreground-service declarations are used.
• The App reads only the call state (idle / active / ended) and call direction. It does not access, record, or transmit the phone number, audio, or content of any call.
• Notes saved through the overlay are stored in the same local database as your other notes.
• You may disable the feature or revoke any of its permissions at any time from Android system settings.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

The App, including all content, features, functionality, design, and software, is owned by Sia Makerlab and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide regarding the App may be used by us without any obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 General Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9.2 Data Backup Warning

Notes — including notes saved through the call-memo overlay, the share sheet, the App Actions voice intent, or the text-selection menu — are stored exclusively on your device. We are not responsible for any loss of notes resulting from device malfunction, factory reset, uninstallation, or any other cause. We strongly recommend backing up important notes through your device's backup mechanism.

9.3 Third-Party Surface Behavior

The behavior, availability, and appearance of the Quick Access entry points depend on Android system APIs, the launcher, the quick-settings tile editor, the share sheet, Google Assistant, and the text-selection menu of the third-party app you invoke "Process Text" from. We do not control these surfaces and are not responsible for changes in their behavior introduced by Android updates, OEM customizations, or third-party apps.

9.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SIA MAKERLAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases processed entirely by Google Play, including a "Remove Ads" option. All purchases are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies. We are not responsible for any disputes arising from purchases processed by Google Play.

In-app purchases are non-transferable and tied to your Google account.

11. Advertising

The App is free to use with advertisements. The App displays the following ad formats through Google AdMob:

• Adaptive banner ads at the bottom of the screen
• App open ads shown when the App is launched or returns from the background, subject to internal frequency capping

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage your consent for personalized ads. Advertisements and the consent flow are subject to Google's terms and policies. You may remove all advertising by purchasing the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase.

12. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices, including the data handling for the Quick Access entry points and the call-memo feature.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason.

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
• Displaying a notice within the App for material changes

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

For users in the European Union, these Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable EU law.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sia Makerlab regarding your use of the App.

This Terms of Service is available in English. If translated versions are provided, the English version shall prevail in case of any discrepancy.
