This Privacy Policy describes how Sia Makerlab ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the Modulang Translator application (the "App").

2.1 Information You Provide

The App is designed to function without requiring you to create an account or provide personal information. We do not collect:

• Names or email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Physical addresses
• Payment information (processed entirely by Google Play)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

2.2.1 Local Device Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• App Settings: Theme preferences, font settings, language selection
• Translation History: Source text, translated text, language pairs, timestamps
• TTS Cache: Text-to-speech synthesis cache (up to 100MB)

This data is stored exclusively on your device using Room local database and internal storage.

2.2.2 Server Transmitted Data

The following data is transmitted to our servers for translation services:

• Translation Text: Text you input for translation
• Language Information: Source and target languages
• Device ID: Anonymized device identifier for daily usage management

We do not store translation text on our servers. Translation requests are processed in real-time and immediately deleted.

2.2.3 Azure TTS (Optional)

For languages not supported by Android's built-in TTS, Azure Cognitive Services TTS may be used. In this case:

• Text is transmitted to Microsoft Azure servers
• Microsoft's Privacy Policy applies: https://privacy.microsoft.com

2.2.4 Advertising Data (Third-Party)

If you use the free version of the App with advertisements, our advertising partner Google AdMob may collect:

• Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID)
• Device information (device type, operating system version)
• IP address
• General location data (country/region level)
• Ad interaction data

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do not collect:

• Contacts, photos, or other personal files

5.1 Local Data

Data stored locally on your device remains until you:

• Delete history from app settings
• Delete TTS cache from app settings
• Clear the App's data through device settings
• Uninstall the App

5.2 Server Data

• Translation text: Immediately deleted after real-time processing
• Usage data: Retained for the period necessary for service operation

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 For All Users

You have the right to:

• Access: View your translation history within the App
• Delete: Remove history and cache from app settings
• Export: Export history data in JSON format
• Uninstall: Remove all local data by uninstalling the App
• Opt-out of Personalized Ads: Manage ad personalization through the App's privacy settings or your device's advertising settings

6.2 For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable laws, you have additional rights:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy
• Displaying a notice within the App for material changes

10. Disclaimer of Liability

10.1 Translation Accuracy

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of translation results. Professional translator review is recommended for important documents.

10.2 Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for the data collection, use, or security practices of third-party services (Azure TTS, Google AdMob, ML Kit, etc.).

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

For users in the European Union, this Privacy Policy shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable EU law, including the GDPR.
