3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

All user content and settings are stored only on your device in an AES-256 encrypted database:

4.1 Modulang Translation API (Core Service)

This app uses the Modulang API operated by Sia Makerlab:

Data Transmitted: The text you enter for translation
Data Not Transmitted: Device information, personal identifiers, usage patterns
Translation requests are processed and are not permanently stored on Modulang servers

For managing free and premium usage limits:

4.3 Azure Speech Service (Text-to-Speech)

When using the speech synthesis (TTS) feature:

Speech synthesis requests are sent through our proxy to Microsoft Azure Speech Service servers
Only the text to be read is transmitted
No personal information is included

4.4 Azure Speech Service (Speech Recognition)

When using the speech recognition (STT) feature:

Speech recognition requests are sent through our proxy to Microsoft Azure Speech Service servers
Only the voice data entered through the microphone is transmitted
Supports Korean, Lao, and English speech recognition
Voice data is not stored on the server after processing
No personal information is included

4.5 Google AdMob (Advertising)

This app displays banner ads through Google AdMob:

AdMob may collect device information for ad personalization
You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings
Ads can be removed through an in-app purchase

We cannot access the data collected by AdMob

4.6 Google Play / Apple App Store (Purchases)

For in-app purchases (ad removal, premium, donations):

Payment processing is handled entirely by the platform
We only receive purchase status confirmation

When you purchase premium:

Your device is registered with premium status on our server
Premium status is linked to the Device ID (not personal information)
Premium benefits are applied immediately and maintained permanently

Purchases are verified through the Google Play / Apple App Store API
Only the validity of the purchase is verified; payment details are not verified
Purchase tokens are processed for verification purposes only and are not stored

6. Advertising

6.1 Ad Display

Banner ads are displayed at the bottom of the app
Ads are served by Google AdMob
Ads may be personalized depending on your device settings

6.2 Ad Removal

You can remove all ads by purchasing the "Remove Ads" option
A one-time, non-consumable purchase
Purchases can be restored on the same account

6.3 User Choices

Disable personalized ads in your device's privacy settings
Purchase ad removal for an ad-free experience

7. In-App Purchases

7.1 Available Purchases

Remove Ads: A one-time purchase that removes all ads
Premium Subscription: A one-time purchase that increases usage limits
Donations/Tips: Optional support for the developer (small, medium, large amounts)

7.2 Purchase Data

Purchase status is stored on the device and on our server (in the case of premium)
Payment processing is handled by Google Play or Apple App Store
We do not receive or store payment card information
Purchases can be restored through the respective app store

8. Data Security

8.1 Encryption

All local data uses AES-256 encryption via SQLCipher
Encryption keys are stored securely using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences
256-bit cryptographically secure random keys
Server communication uses HTTPS/TLS 1.3

8.2 Network Security

All API communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
Sensitive data is not transmitted in plaintext
API keys are not logged or exposed in network requests

8.3 Server Security

Usage data is stored in an encrypted database
Server access is restricted and monitored
Regular security audits are conducted

8.4 Data Isolation

App data is sandboxed by the operating system
Other apps cannot access Huab Translator's data
Data is protected by device security (PIN, fingerprint, etc.)

9. Your Data Rights

You have full control over your data:

All content data is stored on your device
You can view your translation history at any time within the app
You can request server-stored usage data via email

9.2 Right to Export

Export your translation history in JSON format
Use the backup feature in settings

9.3 Right to Deletion

Items that can be deleted:

Individual translation records
All translation history
All app data (reset option in settings)
Request deletion of server-stored data via email

9.4 Right to Portability

Export your data in standard JSON format
Import data from a previous backup
Maximum import size: 10MB, 10,000 messages

10. Children's Privacy

This app is suitable for users of all ages
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children or adults
No account creation or entry of personal information is required
Parental guidance is recommended for children under the age of 13

11. Data Retention

11.1 Local Data

Data remains on your device until you delete it
All local data is removed when the app is uninstalled
Exported backup files are managed by the user

11.2 Server Data (Usage)

Usage is reset automatically on a daily/monthly basis
Device registration is retained until deletion is requested
Premium status is maintained for the duration of the subscription

11.3 Third-Party Services

Modulang: Translation requests are processed in real time and not stored
Azure TTS/STT: Audio processing requests are not logged
AdMob: Google's data retention policy applies

12. International Data Transfers

12.1 Device Data

All personal content remains on your device
No international transfer of personal content by us

12.2 Server Data

The usage server is located in the Republic of Korea
Data is subject to the data protection laws of the Republic of Korea

12.3 Third-Party Services

When using translation or TTS features:

Data may be processed on servers in multiple countries
The Modulang API server is located in the Republic of Korea
Microsoft Azure Speech Service servers may be distributed worldwide
All transfers use secure, encrypted connections

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time
Changes will be posted in the app and on the website
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
Material changes will be notified 7 days in advance
Version history is maintained for reference
