This Privacy Policy describes how Sia Makerlab ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the CueVision mobile application (the "App").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
The App does not require you to create an account. To analyze a shot, you provide a photo of a billiards table, either by taking one with the camera or selecting one from your gallery. You may also manually adjust the detected ball positions to refine the analysis.
Photos you capture or select are processed entirely on your device to detect the table and balls and to compute the recommended shot. The App does not upload your photos to our servers or any third party, and it does not retain a copy of the photo beyond the current analysis session unless you choose to save it through your device's own tools.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only (DataStore Preferences):
| Data Type | Stored | Location | Shared | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Purchase State | Yes | Device Only | No | Cached entitlement for unlocked modes and ad removal |
| App Settings | Yes | Device Only | No | Preferences such as last-used game mode |
This data is stored exclusively on your device. We do not have access to it, and it is not stored on our servers. Purchase entitlements are reconciled with Google Play, which is the source of truth.
The App does not request location, microphone, contacts, or full storage permissions.
We do not collect your photos, your name, your precise location, your contacts, or any personally identifiable information on our servers.
Photos are used solely, on your device, to perform shot analysis. Locally stored data is used only to provide core functionality — remembering your preferences and your purchase entitlements.
The App uses the following third-party services, each of which may collect data according to its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Data Collected |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Display ads (banner, interstitial, and app-open) | Advertising ID, device information, usage data |
| Google Play Billing | Process one-time in-app purchases | Payment and transaction data |
When you purchase ALL PASS through Google Play, AdMob ads are removed. Payment is handled by Google; the App does not collect your card or payment details.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the third-party services listed in Section 4, and only as needed to provide their respective functions.
Settings and cached purchase state remain on your device until you clear the App's data in device settings or uninstall the App. Photos are not retained by the App after analysis. Purchase records are held by Google Play according to Google's policies.
You can clear the App's local data or uninstall the App at any time. You can reset or disable ad personalization and your Advertising ID from Android device settings. Users in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland have additional rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent). California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell personal information.
Google-provided services (AdMob, Play Billing) may process data through Google's global infrastructure, which may involve transfers outside your country. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Your photos are processed only on your device and are not transmitted to us. There is no cloud synchronization operated by us and no user accounts or authentication data stored by us.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Shot analysis, recommended paths, and simulations are visual estimates intended to help you understand a shot. They are not guaranteed to be physically accurate and are provided for practice and entertainment purposes.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, displaying a notice within the App.
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. For EU users, it shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable EU law including the GDPR.
