This Privacy Policy describes how Sia Makerlab ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the Babying mobile application (the "App").

Babying is a markdown-based parenting encyclopedia app providing information from pregnancy preparation through adolescence. The App is designed for multicultural families and supports Korean and Lao languages.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

2. Important Notice Regarding App Content

All informational content within the App, including parenting articles, health-related information, and their translations, has been generated and translated using Claude Code AI (an AI assistant by Anthropic). While efforts have been made to ensure accuracy, this content:

• May contain inaccuracies, errors, or outdated information
• Has not been independently verified by medical professionals or certified translators
• May require cross-verification with official sources before being relied upon
• Is based primarily on Korean standards and guidelines, which may differ from those in other countries

Users bear full responsibility for any decisions made based on the content provided in this App. We strongly recommend consulting qualified professionals for any health, medical, or legal decisions.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

The App does not require account creation, registration, or any form of personal information input. We do not collect:

• Names or email addresses
• Phone numbers or physical addresses
• Payment information

3.2 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data exclusively on your device using Android DataStore and SQLite. This data is never transmitted to our servers:

• Language Preference: Your selected content language (Korean or Lao)
• Bookmarks/Favorites: Content IDs of articles you have bookmarked
• Onboarding Status: Whether you have completed the initial disclaimer acknowledgment
• Content Database: A local SQLite database containing article metadata (titles, categories) copied from the app's bundled assets

We have no access to this data. It remains solely on your device.

3.3 Information Collected by Third Parties (Advertising)

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect:

• Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID)
• Device information (device type, operating system version)
• IP address
• General location data (country/region level)
• Ad interaction data

3.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do not collect:

• Any personal information or identifying data
• Your reading history or browsing patterns within the App
• Contents of bookmarked articles

• Biometric, health, or fitness data
• Any data from other apps on your device

4. How We Use Information

4.1 Local Data

All locally stored data is used solely to:

• Remember your language preference
• Maintain your bookmarked articles for quick access
• Track whether you have acknowledged the medical disclaimer

4.2 Third-Party Advertising Data

Data collected by Google AdMob is used to:

• Display personalized or non-personalized advertisements (based on your consent)

• Delete: Remove all local data by clearing app data in device settings or uninstalling the App
• Opt-out of Personalized Ads: Manage ad personalization through your device settings (Android Settings > Google > Ads)

For users in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, additional GDPR rights apply primarily to data held by Google through AdMob. Please contact Google directly to exercise these rights. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

8. Data Security

• All data is stored only on your device
• No data transmission to external servers (except through Google AdMob SDK)
• No cloud synchronization, user accounts, or authentication

No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data processed by third-party services.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). While the App contains parenting information, it is intended for use by parents and caregivers, not children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. For EU users, applicable EU law including the GDPR shall also apply.
