This Privacy Policy describes how Sia Makerlab ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the AppPort mobile application (the "App").
AppPort is an Android app portfolio operations tool for independent developers and small studios. It helps you manage local app records, release plans, reviews, quality signals, deployment tracks, advertising-related status, and credential metadata from one local workspace. The App is designed as a local-first tool: your portfolio records are stored on your device, and we do not operate a Sia Makerlab server that stores your app portfolio data.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App does not require you to create an account with Sia Makerlab. You may enter or import information about your apps, including app names, package names, release plans, tasks, notes, store-readiness checklist items, credential metadata, backup notes, review-related work, and other portfolio records. This information is stored locally on your device.
When you connect external publisher services, you may provide account connection information or authorize access through third-party OAuth or API flows. The App is designed so service account JSON is not stored on the device. Access to third-party data depends on the permissions you grant to those providers.
The App stores the following data locally using Android storage such as Room and DataStore:
| Data | Stored | Shared by us | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| App portfolio records | Device only | No | Managing apps, package names, statuses, and planning data |
| Tasks, notes, release plans, and checklist items | Device only | No | Planning app releases and follow-up work |
| Review work and reply drafts | Device only | No | Triage, drafting, and explicit approval workflows |
| Quality, vitals, install, and deployment summaries | Device only | No | Showing operational signals and action priorities |
| Credential references and metadata | Device only | No | Tracking keystore locations, backup status, and recovery notes |
| App settings | Device only | No | Theme, filters, sync state, and preferences |
| Backup/export files you create | Under your control | No | Moving or restoring your local portfolio workspace |
Raw secrets are not intended to be stored as ordinary portfolio records. Security screens protect sensitive metadata with biometric unlock where enabled. You are responsible for keeping your device, backups, and exported files secure.
If you connect or import data from publisher services, the App may retrieve data directly from services you authorize, such as:
This data is used to populate your local AppPort workspace. We do not receive or store this data on Sia Makerlab servers.
The App may request the following Android permissions:
POST_NOTIFICATIONS): used to show reminders, sync status, or operational alerts that the App provides. You can deny or revoke this permission in Android settings. The App does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, or broad storage permissions for its core portfolio features.
We do not collect:
The MVP is planned as a free app with no advertising and no in-app purchases.
Data stored in the App is used locally to:
We do not use your local portfolio data for analytics, advertising, training, or profiling.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information or app portfolio data to third parties.
When you connect Google Play, AdMob, Cloud Storage, or similar publisher services, your device communicates with those services according to their APIs, terms, and privacy policies. Those providers process data according to their own policies. AppPort is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
If you export CSV, ZIP, backup, or report files, those files are under your control. You are responsible for where you save, upload, send, or restore those files.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities. Because we do not operate a server that stores your AppPort workspace, such disclosure would be limited to information actually in our possession.
Local AppPort data remains on your device until you delete it in the App, clear app data, remove exported files, or uninstall the App. Android device backup behavior may depend on your device and system settings. Exported backup files remain wherever you choose to store them.
Data held by third-party services remains subject to those services' retention policies.
You can access, edit, export, or delete local portfolio data through the App's workflows where available. You can remove all local app data by clearing app data in Android settings or uninstalling the App. You can disconnect or revoke third-party service authorization through the applicable provider account settings.
For users in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, GDPR and applicable laws may provide rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Because local AppPort workspace data is stored on your device and not on our servers, most requests can be exercised directly on your device. For data held by third-party providers, contact the provider directly.
We implement reasonable technical measures appropriate for a local-first portfolio tool, including:
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device lock screen, Google account, publisher accounts, exported backups, API access, and any credential material referenced by the App.
The App is a developer operations tool and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The App itself does not send your local portfolio workspace to Sia Makerlab. Third-party services you connect may process data in other countries according to their own policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, displaying a notice in the App or on the App's listing.
We are not responsible for data collection, use, availability, or security practices of third-party publisher services you choose to connect. We are not responsible for loss of local data, exported files, publisher-account access, release plans, review drafts, or credential metadata. Maintain your own backups and verify important publisher operations before relying on them.
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. For EU users, it shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable EU law including the GDPR.
